The best way to learn the Alexander Technique is by taking one-to-one lessons with a qualified teacher.
Using skilful, hands-on guidance and verbal explanations, the teacher will take you through the practical experience of learning the Technique.
During the first introductory lesson, the teacher will discuss with you your reasons for wanting to learn the Technique, including any health concerns or medical conditions which may have prompted you to seek the help of the Technique.
He or she will then give a brief explanation of the Alexander Technique before starting to do some practical work with you. At the end of this session, the teacher will discuss with you the number, frequency and length of lessons that might be appropriate in your case.
You will then begin your programme and be given guidance as to how to apply the Technique between lessons.
The centre is open every day, daytime and evening. We are also open at the weekend.
A more cost effective alternarnative to individual lessons. Get together with a work colleague, friend, partner or relative and share the cost and the joy of leaning the Alexander Technique.
