Valerie Gabail

Valerie Gabail is the founder and director of the Professional Voice Trainer. She is a bilingual Singing, Voice and Presentation Skills specialist based in London. She draws on her twenty-five-year performance career in the Classical Music industry as an international soloist, to provide singing, voice and presentation skills coaching to singers, actors and business professionals.

Her lifelong interest in voice and acting led her to gain a Master of Fine Arts in Voice Studies at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, from which she graduated with Distinction. Valerie has been nominated 'Lyric Revelation of the Year' 2006 at the Victoires de la Musique Classique and is a laureate of the Royaumont Foundation in France.

Her pedagogy draws upon a wide range of voice, movement and acting approaches, to provide both aspiring and professional performers with the tools to make creative and healthy vocal choices, as well as help business and corporate clients to develop their spoken style and become confident and inspiring speakers. The techniques she uses have been developed from a wealth of resources, including her experience as an Opera performer, her training in voice and speech pedagogy at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, her work as an assistant opera director as well as five years running a film production company.

She coaches both individuals and groups and has worked with performers and business clients at the London College of Music, the Identity School of Acting, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, the Rose Bruford College, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. She's currently teaching accent modification and communication skills at the London School of English and City Academy for Business. Her private studio in Belsize Park welcomes all those interested in understanding and improving their voice and presentation skills.

Valerie is a proud member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) and of the Voice Over Network.
